WIP Wednesday - Kaleidoscope quilt #2

Work on the kaleidoscope quilt goes quite slowly, by at last I can see some progress, and the pile of blocks is starting to look like something.

I really struggled with this quilt, and I was not happy with any arrangement. It took me some time to find out what needs to be done (more contrast), and now I really like what I see on my design wall. Of course, it's only 12 blocks out of 42, but I think the work is on it's right way.

I used many of my favorites fabrics, so many it's almost a scrap quilt.

I'm linking to these wonderful blogs: Fresh Sewing Day at Lily's Quilts, Fabric Tuesday at Quilt Story, Slash the Stash at from the blue chair and WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced. Pop over there to see the great work of some talented quilters!

Thanks for stopping by,

Noga

  11. I love kaleidoscope quilts! They are so playful. I love yours, and the added contrast is great. That is the hard part for me....picking the fabric. Which is why, right now, I still pretty much use one line of fabric. Let the designer give me different size prints and contrast. It is terrific to see yours come together so well. :)
