WIP Wednesday #4

Last week was very busy, and this week even busier, all with good things - new baby, Jewish holiday where you eat lots of cheese cakes and dairy products (which you have to cook first!)
Not much time for sewing.

Finished projects:

Wild animals playmat. It's for Y, who had a new baby sister. I can't give it to him till I finish the baby quilt, next.

WIP:

1. A baby quilt for baby G, who's exactly 10 days today. We are welcoming her in a small celebration on Friday, but there is no way the quilt will by ready till then. I just managed to pull out fabrics and cut them.

Having only sons (god bless them), and up till now only grandsons, it's a mystery to why I have so many pink fabrics in my stash. Wishfull thinking maybe? At last I have the chance to make a girly quilt, and I decided it had to be pink. I tried to use as many of my pink fabrics, but looking at it now I'm not so happy with the result, it looks to me too washed out. I'll try to add other fabrics, and maybe put the blocks on point. What do you think?

2. Kaleidoscope QAL - chose fabrics, waiting for further instructions.

I'm linking to Lee of Freshly Pieced, thanks for hosting, and thank you for stopping by.

  3. Oh that playmat is amazing, I love it. Your pinks are lovely, I don't think it looks washed out at all. Another green fabric, maybe a small print might give work though if you're not happy? How exciting to have a little lady in the family! My DH has no sisters so when our daughter was born his mum was instantly besotted with her and it hasn't changed one bit in 3 years!
